UPDATE: We are sold out.
Hello Sandy Spring and surrounding community!
We will be selling Christmas Trees at the corner of 108 and Prince Philip Dr this year starting December 5.
As usual, our hours will be:
until we sell out.
You may or may not be aware that there is a widespread shortage of Christmas trees this year due to a combination of a recession during planting season, blight, and a labor shortage. Because of this, we have received less than half the trees we normally do. Prices may also be slightly higher.
It is possible that we may get a second shipment but we are not counting on it. If you want a tree, we hope to see you this weekend!
Lions from our Sandy Spring club and others in Montgomery County have volunteered their last few Fridays to assist in the setup and cleanup of the Ice Cream Barn at the Montgomery Fair
Ice cream will be sold by Lions all week at the Fair, from Friday, August 9 until August 17. Our club’s day for selling is Wednesday, the 14th. Come and see us, we dip generously!
Hope to see you at the Fair!
This past Saturday, our Lions Club held our annual Charter Night, inducting Lion David Hull as President, and thanking Lion Bill Lavely for his leadership of the club these past two years.

Our own current King Lion and Zone Chair Lion Bill Lavely was elected 2nd VDG for District 22-C at the Lions Multiple 22 Convention in Ocean City this week.
Lion Bill and other Sandy Spring Lions have campaigned tirelessly over the past year and their efforts paid off when the delegates selected him for this honor.
As 2nd VDG, he is expected to move through the chairs to District Governor over the next two years.
