October 14 – Adopt-a-Road Ednor Road – The lions will be doing environmental cleanup and beautification along Ednor Road between Norwood Road and New Hampshire Avenue. If you would like to join us, we meet at the parking lot of the Hampshire View Baptist Church at 9am. Snacks are provided! This is an event full of fellowship and a great community service.
October 17 – Blood Drive – Salem United Methodist Church – We partner with the red cross to collect over 150 pints of blood per year, and we can’t do it without the support of our community. Please join us in saving lives by donating life-saving blood. You can make a reservation through our phone number, the red cross, or you can just walk in. The drive runs from noon to 6pm.
October 21 – Lions Leadership Event – As Lions, we are all about learning new things. There will be a multiple district leadership training and mentoring event in Baltimore for current Lions. Contact Lion Bill Thomas for details.
October 23 – Regular Meeting – We will be having our regular meeting at Salem United Methodist Church at 7:00pm. This will be a joint meeting with the Olney club, so it will be much bigger and may be more raucous than usual. The district governor is expected to speak. Please let us know if you would like to attend to see what Lionism is about.
