We will be selling Christmas Trees at the corner of 108 and Prince Philip Dr this year starting December 5.
As usual, our hours will be:
Thursday and Friday 3-6
Saturday and Sunday 10-6
until we sell out.
You may or may not be aware that there is a widespread shortage of Christmas trees this year due to a combination of a recession during planting season, blight, and a labor shortage. Because of this, we have received less than half the trees we normally do. Prices may also be slightly higher.
It is possible that we may get a second shipment but we are not counting on it. If you want a tree, we hope to see you this weekend!
The Sandy Spring Lions have begun our Christmas Tree sales. We hear there is a shortage this year, but that does not discourage us, and we have NOT raised our prices.
Come visit us at the old hospital grounds at 2901 Olney-Sandy Spring Road at the corner of 108 and Prince Philip Drive. We have all Fraser firs at a variety of sizes, priced accordingly. Our prices range from $25 to $80.
Our hours, as usual, are Thursday and Friday 2-7pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-7pm. Sales will be very big this weekend so come by and check out our selection before it goes!
All money raised goes back to support the community.
Lion Meredith “Brother” Pattie brought this framed photo to our meeting tonight of all the students of Sherwood High School (from all grades) present for the photo in the 1931 school year. Included in the photo are Brother’s parents and uncle. Also included is the father of current member Brenda Finkel.
Brother is looking to donate the photo to Sherwood High School or the Sherwood High School alumni association, but was kind enough to share it with the club first.
